Dr. Vijay V. Bedekar
Dr. Vijay V. Bedekar, Honorable Chairman of Vidya Prasarak Mandal (Thane) and a well-known doctor, is also known for his contributions to the academic world. Dr. Bedekar, through his visionary leadership, established learning centres in different branches of education – nationally and globally (London). His deeprooted Indian ethos, his emphasis on discipline and his patriotic fervour have always encouraged all VPM’s (Thane) Group of Institutions to create an environment that fosters value-oriented quality education, holistic development of students and an environment that transcends the classroom learning to mould professional and responsible citizens. Dr. Bedekar is a voracious reader and has special interests which include ancient history, archaeology, ancient art and artifacts. Dr. Bedekar, a well-known Indologist, has been instrumental in starting the Institute of Oriental Studies, Thane, for promoting the study and research in Indology. He is a member with some of the most renowned and established libraries and museums of the World.
Dr. Guruprasad Murthy
Dr. Guruprasad Murthy is the founding Director of Dr. V. N. Bedekar Institute of Management Studies (DR VN BRIMS), established in 2005. Since 2008, he has been the Professor-Director-General at DR VN BRIMS. Dr. Murthy comes with a global academic background, having completed his education at Bombay University and further at Stanford, USA and Texas, USA. He was the former Director of the prestigious Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and the Principal of R. A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai. As an NRI, Dr. Murthy has global industry experience having worked in the Aviation Industry between 1994 and 2001. He has won several national and international awards for his diverse contributions to management, viz. research papers, special columns in financial newspapers and journals, consultancies – including World Bank, institution building and to the management movement across the country and beyond.
Dr. Nitin Joshi
Dr. Nitin Joshi also known as the professor of happiness, is a belief changer in the life building process. With his proprietary life-changing formula, he has helped Founders, Innovators & Decision makers at the National & International level. He is self motivated, growth-oriented professional with over 25 yrs+ of rich and varied experience both in industry & academics with a special focus on people development in the last 2 decades. He has been a certified assessor for business excellence for the (EFQM) European Foundation for Quality Management Assessment certification program since 2016 & has privilege of assessing companies like RPG Raychem, Tata Steel Ltd, PSG Institute of Management, Godrej constructions Ltd, Hinduja Hospital Mumbai, Godrej Storage Solutions, The Hindu Group & Tata Motors. He strongly believes that people can achieve success if they are motivated & hard working. Based on his own experience he feels that goals give motivation, purpose helps creating goals and also helps set right direction.
